Ability Productions is a groundbreaking new TV production company utilising the UK’s disabled TV talent. Using positive action to recruit and train our programme makers we are at the forefront of promoting and employing disbled media creators from all over the country.

Ability Productions embraces many areas of media production. Documentaries, factual entertainment, reality series, natural history, arts, childrens & music are all genres where we have extensive experience.
Training & Database
We run fully funded training programmes for university graduates and other grass root disabled talent in all areas of TV and media production.With our unique database of disabled TV production talent we can also advise and consult with other UK TV Production companies and broadcasters to ensure disabled talent is being fully utilised.

Well known presenter, broadcaster, journalist and not bad at basketball, Ade has been on our screens for the last 20 years. One of the very few disabled presenters on TV, Ade has seen first hand the chronic under representation of people with disabilities in all areas of broadcasting.

With over 50 years of TV production behind them, 3 BAFTA’S and a RTS award and having produced series for Discovery, Nat Geo, Channel 5, Animal Planet and the BBC. They have always strived to include those with diabilities within their productions. In fact they were the first people to employ one Ade Adepitan as a presenter in their wildlife series Tiger Tiger.

Jack Jally
Youth Development
​
After surviving meningitis, Jack was diagnosed with severe to profound hearing loss as a 1 year old. Despite the disability he has carved himself a carrer directing and filming music promos for the UK’s grime scene, as well as directing documentaries for charities like Kids on the Green, which was born out of the Grenfell disaster. He is also a qualified drone pilot and likes to keep the “old fogies” in check.

Shabba heads up the youth development team with Jack. He is a rapper, writer, music producer and all round brain box who has an amazing way with words...

Ability Productions is building a diverse team of media disability consultants. From writers, directors and producers to presenters, actors and comics, all of whom have a unique insight into what its like to work as a disabled person within the television industry. With their knowledge, passion and experience no production large or small will fall short of the very high standards expected.

Probably best known for her huge hit Do Your Thing with the Basement Jaxx, Elliot has also turned her hand to mentoring up and coming talent not only in the music industry but in all forms of media. From singer songwriter James Bay to TV presenters, actors and comedians, Elliots unique skill set helps those she works with fulfil their true potential.
